In March of 2021, ‘International Living’ published ‘The 15 Best Places to Invest in Real Estate in 2021’, in which it named 4 of the top 15 global destinations to invest in real estate as Mexican destinations. Number one on the list was Mexico’s Riviera Maya, home to world-renowned destinations such as Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Bacalar.
Furthermore, Mexico has many reasons for being at the top of the 15 Best Places to Invest in Real Estate in 2021. First, it is one of the only large nations to never close its borders, and secondly, it never set any entry restrictions on its visitors and tourists. This drove tourists from all over the world to these destinations, and many others withing this vast country. Finally, with the rise of short-term vacation rentals around the world, top destinations such as Cabo, San Miguel de Allende, and Merida have all benefited incredibly. Only Merida didn’t make it within the top 10. Perhaps it may have been that the list was already too skewed.
Consequently, the world woke up to the opportunity that is Mexico, as a travel destination, as well as for its strong real estate sector, and massive tourist numbers fuelling the demand for short-term vacation rentals. In fact, this has awoken a wide range of interest from investors of all levels, specially entry-level ones who have been more willing to take action on this growing economy than ever before.
With many infrastructure projects coming to many of these destinations, it means that Mexico will continue to be seen as a strong real estate investment destination for years to come. And for clients from all over the world, Mexico will continue to welcome then with its beautiful beaches, all the way to its remote towns. So no matter what your style of life may be, be certain that Mexico has something for everyone.
